I've read (in Queen Afua's books) that meat-eaters who are intimate with vegetarians can poison their mates. Has anyone heard of this, and does anyone have resources I can share regarding this topic?
I have a friend who has never heard of this, and I want to pass along information.

Thu, October 12, 2006 - 10:07 AMI read that too in her book, I'm not suprise though. Think about it meat eaters have different parasites than veggie eaters and if your swopping fluids your swopping parasites. -

Re: Relations between vegetarians and meat-eaters
Sat, October 14, 2006 - 8:18 AMNot to mention the energy/chi of the food being consumed. The old adage "you are what you eat" really holds true.
Flesh has a lower vibration than vegetable based foods especially raw foods
I'm not advocating non relations between the two I'm just saying if you are going to go there then you are also going to have to deal with the energies that are involved.

Re: Relations between vegetarians and meat-eaters
Sun, October 22, 2006 - 1:33 PMI made it a point to only date vegans paticularly to avoid toxic saliva and toxic sperm. Meat eaters consume death and diseased animal caucauses, so that's what your'e sleeping with...after all you are what you eat. If you eat unhealthy you produce unhealthy, toxic sperm and bodily fluids,..not to mention you are more prone to a toxic and diseased mindstate. And also what happens if you get serious and have kids...how are the children going to be raised. Whose to say that you won't break up and your kids go over to see their daddy and daddy feeds them meat becuz that's how he lives. It's just something to think about. I wanted my kids raised Vegan no matter what, so I married a Vegan. I've tried scenarios where I met a non vegan and tried to get them on the path of eating healthier but the point is they have to do it for themselves and not becuz you want them to, so I decided to just avoid that type of situation altogether. Hope I was of some help.

Re: Relations between vegetarians and meat-eaters
Thu, April 19, 2007 - 12:07 PMi mean that is a bit extreme. that's why we have immune systems. meat eaters live long healthy lives. i do agree that animal flesh carries more toxins on average than plants. and that meat consumption should be kept to a minimum, or not eaten at all.
but plants carry parasites as well. we all live in this ecosystem together - from microorganisms to humans. nothing is "safe". and meat eaters are not "poisonous" lovers. that's proposterous and zealous.
and what are you gonna do, miss an opportunity to be with the best man/woman in your llfe, because they eat meat?
and another topic....
Also i'm sure plants don't want to be eaten either. they have bulit-in defense mechanisms that they use to stay alive - orange/apple/watermelon peels to protect their inside flesh, and plants release of toxins and grow thorns/prickly skins to keep pests away - so why are the butchers and meat eaters evil human beings for killing/eating animals? we're (human meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans) at the top of the food chain and we all eat the "lower" life forms.
No one particular type of eater is more "humane" than the other.

Some plants, such as fruit, attract rather than repel others to eat them so the seeds can spread. I wouldn't call meat-eaters evil, but I don't think there is anything humane about needlessly torturing and slaughtering billions of animals a year for human consumption. Furthermore, it is not just the consumption of animals that is inhumane; I don't think we have the right to exploit another species. Why should we feel we have the right to control their lives and reproductive systems? I wouldn't want someone to continuously rape me, keep me pregnant , take my babies, take my milk, feed me hormones, while they torture and slaughter my children, then slaughter me when I'm no longer useful.
Just as black people were treated as lower life forms because of our race, animals are seen as lower life forms because they are a different species, yet they feel pain and desire to live just as we do. -

Re: Relations between vegetarians and meat-eaters
Fri, April 20, 2007 - 9:56 AMi agree. the substances that plants produce to encourage seed spreading is a defense mechanism to stay alive and reproduce.
animals should not be fattened up and slaughtered repeatedly. that is inhumane. but not eating meat. that is quite human.
we should eat only what we need to, and not have all of these gourmet restaurants that serve fillet mignon and all these fast food chains, and then we would not have to torture and slaughter innocent animals.
we have way too much food in this country just to indulge a already full stomach. it is ashame.
