Hey all!!
I am having so much fun experimenting with new kinds of foods and recipes. I never knew vegetarian dishes could be so diverse and delicious!!! I guess I'm still in the honeymoon stage with my new way of eating. I am slowly making the transition into veganism. I rarely drink milk, but still on occasion consume cheese and ice cream.
Is almond milk used as a milk substitue, or for cooking? I took a trip to the health food store on the way home from work, and bought some. I remember an old post from someone saying they use almond milk.
Thanks,
Lisa

I think you can use almond milk to drink or replace milk in any recipe. I use it in my smoothies and in my cereal. I've also taken a liking to hemp seed milk.

Thu, July 5, 2007 - 11:12 AMRecipes asking for milk may require the addition of a vegetable fat (like avocado or coconut) to give you the fullness that almond milk can't provide. You may have to experiment with your recipes to see if you like the texture and consistency of your dishes when using almond milk.
