Greetings & Blessings,
Hope this lil piece of info helps you, I'm in the same situation and a friend of mine suggested that I drink organic Aloe Vera juice in my water. She had explained to me that the aloe vera plant have compatible minerals that humans need, meaning whatever I'm lacking it has and therefore helps greatly in curving cravings. Hope it helps.

Listen to your body.

Cravings indicate an imbalance in your body's daily intake of vitamins, minerals, protein, fat, and carbs.

A sugar craving generally indicates that you're eating too much in the way of carbs or sugar, and or there is not enough protein and fat in your diet.

Adding oils of olive, hemp, flaxseed, to your salads and smoothies as well as blackstrap molasses and eating avocado, coconut, and dark green leafy vegetables daily can help to find balance and decrease or eliminate cravings.

Also consider looking for a balance in the textures and flavors of the food you eat. If breakfast is dry, crunchy, and sweet, consider a moist, crispy, and bitter lunch, or a salty and chewy.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely try it. I eat regular everyday junk foods. Not the healthy kind. Chocolates, chocolate chip/peanut butter cookies, flavored soft drinks, french fries, etc. I am not currently taking a vitamin/mineral supplement, and I have a tendency to graze and not sit down for regular meals. I am going to find a good supplement and plan my meals.

Thanks,

Hi Lisa,

I understand your junk food cravings. Taking a calcium/magnesium supplement may help with your cravings - especially with the chocolate cravings. You can try weaning yourself off of soft drinks like colas by having spritzers instead. If you have a juicer, you can make your own juices instead of buying the juice from a store. You can also try detoxing. Once your palate is clean, the junk food doesn't taste the same.

What kind of junk food do you eat? What brands?

Hello,

I have been on a meat free diet for a little over a month now. The only problem is, I still experience cravings for junk food. Cookies, chips, candies, chocolate, juices/soft drinks, etc. Do any of you seasoned Veggies of color have any suggestions to remedy this? I have increased my water consumption, and am eating whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Please advise.
